At the very beginning of this video it show a picture of foods to avoid while breast feeding. Don’t let it confuse you. It then goes on to show foods you should eat. Oatmeal is on this list and I love it. It is a complex carbohydrate that will make you feel fuller, longer, and may increase your milk supply! Oats are rich in iron, protein, and fiber. The healthiest options are the non-instant varieties. You can even cook it overnight in a slow cooker. When I worked in vegetarian restaurants in NYC we would cook steel cut oats overnight in a slow cooker and then serve it the next morning. It was delicious!
